Inspired by Australian birds, nature & everyday life, my paintings often start with an idea, a magpie image or a slightly ridiculous scenario - and evolve through drawing, composition, colour and paint.
My work ranges from quirky still life incorporating cheeky birds to serene floral compositions and anywhere in between. There are no limits!

Ever wondered where a painting begins?
I’m obsessed with magpies. Can you tell? I like to incorporate the birds into quirky still life paintings. So I’m kind of taking them out of nature and into unfamiliar territory.
I take photographs, collect images, experiment with colours to develop an idea. The final work is a result of my own drawings, composition, colour, lighting and painting process.
